Some people find the "fade away on mouseover" behaviour of notifications annoying, because they tie "focus" with "pointer location". I'm one of these people! Is there any way to prevent the box from fading out when I turn my attention to it, and absent mindedly move the mouse pointer there?

Fair enough! I'm not sure the notifications are used as heavily any more so it's less of an annoyance. – Calum Feb 18 '12 at 15:33

Thanks for the offer but it was me wondering idly at best. Cheers :) – Calum Feb 19 '12 at 14:10
Patch your notify-osd from leolik-ppa & then add "bubble-prevent-fade = 1" to ~/.notify-osd file. That's it!.....I am also requesting moderator to open this question so that i can answer it properly. – Khurshid Alam Apr 20 '12 at 15:29
