when I installating the hadoop in 2 pc, in master node,datanode ll run but in slAVE NODE DATANODE DOESNOT WORK.. IN WEB INTERFACE BROWSER IT SHOWS THE lIVE NODES IS 1 INSTEAD OF 2..

what is the solution for this problem..??? please can anyone tel the solution..

I have tried lots of things regarding this problem but still it does not work..

It will be better if you direct this question to hadoop user mailing list common-user@hadoop.apache.org and you may get a quick response. AU is mostly about Ubuntu related questions. – Chakra Apr 28 '11 at 7:42
