Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm very new to Linux and was using Ubuntu with the unity desktop. I was looking around online and have fell in love with xubuntu desktop environment, so I downloaded the ISO and did a clean install of xubuntu. Although I love the desktop there is only one thing missing... I would love to import the volume, messaging, network system tray icons as I found these invaluable, and here is my problem I can't seem to find a way to do this. I also can't seem to get qBittorrent to minimize to the system tray I have configured it in the programs settings but it just won't play ball... Thanks for listening I hope I'm just silly and there is a simple solution to all this
