How do I remove the Unity launcher?

I would like to remove the Launcher from Unity, Can someone please help me get pointed in the right direction?

You can set to "Classic Ubuntu", when you login. So you don't have the unity bar, if you want that. – Dani3l Apr 25 '11 at 18:12

I'm not sure you should remove the unity bar, as gnome is being phased out if I'm correct?

If you do want to remove it, this came up in Google for removing the unity bar!

But I stress again, I'm not sure you should even attempt to remove it. Can I ask why you don't want it? It took me a few days to get used to it, but now love it. Massive step forward for Ubuntu GUI I feel
