Possible Duplicate:
Is it possible to change the order of icons in the indicator applet?

Using 11.04 beta. I see that you can no longer right-click and unlock|move tray icons.

Is there a way to actually re-order these?

Since you still seem to be monitoring this question it would be nice if you could flag my answer as 'correct' because ... well, it is. –  nem75 May 11 '11 at 19:51

Note that in 11.04 there is no more tray, so you must be talking about reordering indicators. This is achieved to a limited extent through process indicated in Jorge Castro's link. This is a duplicate, I think. –  Syzygy May 16 '11 at 22:18

point taken. it's the same as jorge's isue. sorry for creating a duplicate. –  neziric May 17 '11 at 11:20

No, currently there is no way to do that.

This is incorrect. There is a limited amount of ordering possible: askubuntu.com/questions/26114/… (I've done it) –  Syzygy May 16 '11 at 22:16

@mcandre: kilaka, as you, obviously, mistook the question for being about launcher icons when it is not. It is about indicator icons. Also, you're unnecessarily rude. –  nem75 Feb 23 '12 at 14:31

Here is a link to explain the reorder among other things.

Basically, you just click and hold the icon and then you can move it to another place.

Tried it myself and it works. –  kilaka May 16 '11 at 22:09

If you remove the icon from the launcher and then drag the icon from anywhere in the dash to the position in the launcher you want it located you should be able to reorder the icons to your liking. If you make a mistake just remove the icon and try again.

That's the launcher, not the tray. Also it's much easier than that –  pydave May 5 '11 at 22:17
