So, I installed Ubuntu using Wubi in Windows 7.

I recently uninstalled Ubuntu using my Windows 7 add/remove program tool, but now upon trying to reboot my computer, I see an error that says something along the lines of file system not found, grub recovery or something like that.

how do I fix this? I would just reformat and re-install Windows, but I have a bunch of important stuff that isn't backed up.

Wubi doesn't install the grub bootloader. So more info is required. Is it a grub rescue prompt or a grub prompt? The difference matters. Any other details you can think of? –  bcbc Oct 24 '13 at 16:27
