I don't really know how to describe this problem in English.

A picture can say more words - look at the tabs at the top of the linked image. The current font settings are shown as well.

I don't know what basic info I should provide so if something missing, please tell me.

Ubuntu 12.04

GNOME Shell 3.4.1

I know, a reboot can make everything normal but I'm looking for a more permanent solution that can fix this problem (or bug).

Thanks for Fitoschido, I finally know what keyword I could use for googling. I think it's a bug of gnome shell.

It's not clear what your problem is, could you elaborate? – Roger Light Oct 22 '13 at 14:10
@RogerLight I'm willing to but I just don't know what info I should provide. can you enlighten me? – user353889 Oct 22 '13 at 23:30
Apologies, I completely missed the messed up font in the tab bars! I thought you were complaining about some spacing or other similar rendering problem in the main window too subtle for me to spot. – Roger Light Oct 23 '13 at 9:05
