I've just finished migrating a lightweight Microsoft® .NET™ web application to Mono and now I'm looking for a straight-forward way to host such development on a (perhaps virtualized) Ubuntu server within an intranet environment. I was wondering if you guys have any advice to share as I'm not quite experienced when it comes to server-side/operations stuff.

Thanks much in advance!

Perhaps you should ask on ServerFault or the Webmasters' StackExchange site. – Scott Severance Apr 22 '11 at 12:37
@msserver: thanks for the advice, I'd definitely consider it -- should I close the question here first or is it legit to sort of 'duplicate' it in those sites? – Nano Taboada Apr 23 '11 at 22:49
In the future we can migrate these to other StackExchange sites - since you've already re-posted I'll simply close this one – Marco Ceppi Apr 26 '11 at 21:38
@mssever: this is sufficiently ubuntu related, so it's fine if he asks here. – Roland Taylor Apr 26 '11 at 22:50
