Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I am new to ubuntu and so far i have loved every bit of it. I currently own a nokia lumia 900 phone with windows 7.8 installed. Now, in order for me to upload any image, video or audio file I have to use Zune (it is similar to iTunes in that regard). I personally want to permanently install Ubuntu 13.10 on my main machine but I was wondering that is there a way that I can work around so that I can use Zune on Ubuntu or any other way through which i can upload/download my phone files. I tried connecting my phone to my ubuntu machine and it does recognize the phone and mounts it. Although i cannot open any file, be it a picture, video or audio. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
