I use ubuntu for a while now, and never had problems, I use Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and my wireless card is a Broadcom BCM4313. I can connect only to networks that I have already connected, and I just can't connect to new ones. Can anybody help?

How does the connection attempt fail? Can you see the network? Are you asked for a key? Have you tried "connect to hidden network" and typed in both name and key? Do you see other networks when you type sudo iwlist scan –  ubfan1 Oct 16 '13 at 20:13
Did you install any wireless drivers? –  Seth Oct 18 '13 at 1:52
