I am using Ubuntu 12.04 on Dell Inspiron. I want to install a software for which I need libba53 package. The following command was given for this but it did not work:

cd a53/trunk
sudo make install

It's output is like this:

$ cd a53/trunk
bash: cd: a53/trunk: No such file or directory

$ sudo make install
[sudo] password for usama:
make: *** No rule to make target `install'. Stop.

What should I do now? How should I fix this problem?

I think you need to download a53 first... did you do that? –  Thomas W. Oct 11 '13 at 17:22

What is the software you are trying to install? How are you installing it? Can you share the link you are following? –  i08in Oct 12 '13 at 7:47
