I have installed ubuntu 13.04 on my laptop alongside windows 8.

the wifi switch doesn't work. pressing it doesn't do anything at all.

any help regarding this?

Welcome to Ask Ubuntu! What is the output of the commands rfkill list all and sudo lshw -C network? These commands are typed in a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T).
