I'm having difficult installing Ruby on my computer. I initially wanted to install the ruby-2.0.0-p247 but RVM could not find the package.
When running the following command:
rvm install ruby-1.8.7-p334
I get the following response in the terminal:
Installing Ruby from source to: /usr/share/ruby-rvm/rubies/ruby-1.8.7-p334, this may take a while depending on your cpu(s)... ruby-1.8.7-p334 - #fetching ruby-1.8.7-p334 - #extracted to /usr/share/ruby-rvm/src/ruby-1.8.7-p334 (already extracted) ruby-1.8.7-p334 - #configuring ruby-1.8.7-p334 - #compiling ERROR: Error running 'make ', please read /usr/share/ruby-rvm/log/ruby-1.8.7-p334/make.log ERROR: There has been an error while running make. Halting the installation.
Okay, so I retrieved the make.log file. It's about 387 lines of compilation errors, however. I'll post it if it's necessary.
Is there something wrong with my RVM installation? I used the following command to install it:
sudo apt-get install ruby-rvm
