I installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my Windows 7 laptop (installed in D: drive) using Wubi installer (I used the ISO file, 64-bit). Now when I restart my laptop I have two options to boot with: Windows 7 and Ubuntu. When I click on Ubuntu, the following error message appears:
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem: 1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer. 2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next." 3. Click "repair your computer." If you don't have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance. File: \Ubuntu\winboot\wubildr.mbr Status: 0xc0000098 Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt,
When I checked, the file
\ubuntu\winboot\wubildr.ubr was there in the installed directory. I don't know why this error is appearing.
