Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have gone through countless threads on the following error and none have helped.

Your screen, graphics card, and input device settings could not be detected correctly. You will need to configure these yourself.

I have nvidia graphic cards and have tried countless things but nothing works. This pops up every time I reboot. The computer was running fine then all of a sudden it crashed and I got this error. Any ideas?

We have no idea which ubuntu version you are using, what you have tried or GPU/cpu being used. A possible duplicate of askubuntu.com/q/141606/71679 –  damien Sep 16 '13 at 3:12
I am using Ubuntu 13.04 and I already went through the responses and tried the answer but to no avail. I might have messed up while trying though. I can try again buy I'm not sure which answer to start with. –  Jordan Sep 16 '13 at 3:17
