I am looking for a way to measure the amount of ambient noise in a given place, with my computers microphone.

Audacity seems to do it, but I cant get it to tell me the measurement (it just moves a bar up and down).

I also found . It (more or less) works, but I could not manage to convince it to use a different microphone.

Ideally, I would like to register and graph noise levels. But just a program that informs me of the noise levels would already be nice
