Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I use a web cam on /dev/video0 and vloopback.ko module to pass videostream from /dev/video1 to /dev/video2.

When I run motion with video_pipe /dev/video1 option in its config file I can see the pipelined stream with xawtv -c /dev/video2 -geometry 640x480

But when I run skype I can't choose the /dev/video2 device 'cause there is only USB2.0_Camera(/dev/video0) option in a camera selection list.

How can I make skype using /dev/video2 device?
