Using Ubuntu 13.04 on a Macbook Pro 8,2 2011

I've almost fully switched to Linux from OS X and there is one last thing I can't figure out.

I installed my wireless driver and it works fine, however the connection is wireless g only, not n.

I need/want the n connection for 2 reasons:

Utilize the hardware I have to its full extent.

My internet is 50mbps, so having a max connection of 54mbps via wireless g is not enough.

Is there a driver I need to contribute to make this happen, or is something else going on which I need to activate?

My router is the new a/c airport extreme and its setup properly.

Any help or pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!
