Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

After right-clicking a flash object of any kind (for example www.wgt.com/gameclient.aspx or a YouTube video, etc.), I'm not able to edit the local settings

Please note that the local settings are not the same as the global settings. I would like uncheck the use hardware acceleration option in the local settings. I'm not able to reach the checkbox through either tab or the space bar.

I have already looked at the global settings available on the Adobe website. This option is not available there, so please do not refer me to the global settings on the Adobe website.

Because this question is about the local settings, please do not mark it as a duplicate of questions about the global settings.

Is there some way to make this setting in Adobe flash clickable? Or is there some config file where I can change this setting?

This problem has been persistent in Firefox and Flash and is very frustrating.
