I followed instructions from here

Everything appears to be installed correctly as I received no errors during installation.

When running any of the example .py files I receive the following error:

Traceback (most recent call last): File "demo_array.py", line 1, in <module>
    import pyopencl as cl
  File "/home/josh/.local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/pyopencl-2013.1-py2.7-linux-x86_64.egg/pyopencl/__init__.py", line 28, in <module>
    import pyopencl._cl as _cl
ImportError: /usr/lib/libboost_python-py27.so.1.46.1: undefined symbol: PyUnicodeUCS4_FromEncodedObject

I have attempted to locate the answer, but to no avail. Does anyone have a suggestion?

From what I have gathered about this error from other pages its an encoding error. That it could be fixed with .encode(). But I'm not sure to how do that if the part giving the error is the import.

Thanks for any advise.
