How can I boot linux (Ubuntu/Lubuntu) from CD/DVD/USB without auto-mounting hard disk drive. My HDD is damaged and I want to mount it after my linux starts, not at launch.

Right now when I boot linux (Lubuntu 13.04 i386) I get some errors about disk and the boot process is halted.

What I want to do is to mount the disk partition after Linux has started and then just copy the whole partition to another hard disk drive.
