I m using Lenovo g580... I've installed Ubuntu 12.04 on it.. but i can neither access wired connection nor WiFi ... what to do.

I typed following command on terminal: ifconfig here is the output:

What happens when you try to use the Network Manager applet in the system tray to connect to WiFi or LAN? ifconfig's output just means that there are network connections, if there were network connections there should be more paragraphs, starting with "eth0" or "wlan0". –  Nobody Aug 31 '13 at 11:53
