I've been running Ubuntu 12.04.2 on my Lenovo IdeaPad P400 for the past few weeks and just got around to repair my Windows 8 boot. In order to access the LivCD, I had to boot in legacy mode. I ran boot repair with the recommended settings from the LiveCD and restarted the computer after completion.

However, once it rebooted, I got a black screen saying ubuntu has been blocked by the current security policy. This screen keeps repeating until the computer is shut down. I cannot get access to the grub menu or bios.

Here is my boot info from boot repair: paste.ubuntu.com

Any help is much appreciated.

Windows 8 repairs may have reset some UEFI settings. It probably turned secure boot back on. Your Ubuntu install is not secure boot version so it only boots in UEFI mode. But you should not be using legacy mode as that can create issues. Turn secure boot off and try booting UBuntu entry again. –  oldfred Aug 28 '13 at 4:06
