To do open in terminal in KDE or Kubuntu DE. Open dolphin file manager and just press F4 Functional key and that display the terminal in side the dolphin at the bottom.

Do you know of any way to make it put the terminal on the side instead of the top/bottom? – Stabledog Jan 28 '14 at 17:41

You can also press Shift+F4 in Dolphin to open current directory in a separate terminal window, or click through Control -> Tools -> Open Terminal if you want to use mouse. – Alexander Revo Feb 17 at 13:55
