I am getting the following error while installing or updating please give any solution for this

That looks like a bug in the w3af package. –  Thomas W. Aug 23 '13 at 2:46

Also, as a side note, it's not necessary to log in as root. The proper way to do this is with just sudo apt-get install <packagename> as a normal user. –  Richard Aug 23 '13 at 2:50
