Webcam not recognized on my Sony Vaio VGN-CR363 laptop

Question

when I open Cheese it says No device found.

and i've also tried changing the gstreamer properties

i've also tried ricoh drivers..but i'm not sure whether i installed them correctly...

It should work with your webcam.

	It works for me. Make sure you have installed r5u87x (sudo apt-get install r5u87x). Then try running the script again – NateW Apr 4 '11 at 22:25

	Run this in terminal: cd;wget natewiebe.com/r5u87x-download-firmware.sh;sudo mv ~/r5u87x-download-firmware.sh /usr/share/r5u87x/r5u87x-download-firmware.sh;sudo /usr/share/r5u87x/r5u87x-download-firmware.sh – NateW Apr 4 '11 at 22:46
	Copy that entire block after "Run this in termainal: " and that should work. The script was wrong, so I fixed it. The error was on line 79. – NateW Apr 4 '11 at 22:47
