What really annoys me at my Ubuntu System is, that if a Window of a application hangs for some reason (this for example happens often at the application keepass). Then the whole Unity interface (and other windows) seems to stop reacting for mouse clicks.

So i always have to press the Start Menu key, type System Monitor, and to navigate via keyboard to kill the process of the hanging application...

How can I fix this problem?

What you describe doesn't sound like a general behaviour. Does it happen for applications other than Keepass? X11 has a feature to allow applications to grab the pointer, but it is uncommon for them to do so for long periods (except maybe for games). –  James Henstridge Aug 19 '13 at 23:36
@JamesHenstridge Yes, it also happens sometimes when I use Spotify, or Java Windows or rarely Steam. But it doesn't happen with for example Chrome, Firefox, Nautilus etc. But the worst case is really Keepass, when I save the password database (where the application hangs usually for a short time), then the mouse pointer is not useable. –  Sapd Aug 20 '13 at 13:00
