I have tried installing ubuntu in all possible ways but failed.

  • When I install using DVD it says some bootmgr is missing .
  • When I install using USB it says boot error.
  • When I install using Windows installer, the process stops halfway after downloading the file , with error ' not able to set ... '

What am I doing wrong ? Please help.

Computer details : Intel i3 , Windows 7 64 bit already installed.

What software did you use to create the USB? Read this post here: ubuntuforums.org/…, it might help. –  Alaa Ali Aug 19 '13 at 12:13
Are you trying to install ubuntu beside a Windows OS, i.e. dual-boot? Either way, please edit your question to include more details of what you are trying. –  ImaginaryRobots Aug 19 '13 at 19:26
