This question already has an answer here:

So i just got a brand new fancy smancy Galaxy S4. I get home and i try to move music from my ubuntu 13.04 and low and behold Rythmbox crashes after i try adding music. My S4 only has MCS, or atleast i cant find mass storage option anywhere. Is there a different media player i can use or do i need to install something, or is this a common, un-fixed, issue? I tried connecting througha win7 vbox but vbox wont recognize my usb.

Crashes as "This application have crashed", it simply closes, if you could add a screenshot of the crash, it would help greatly. –  Braiam Aug 19 '13 at 5:42
Or, better, launch Rhythmbox from the terminal (open Ctrl+Alt+T, type rhythmbox -d, and press Enter; the -d will enable debug) then paste the output under your question. –  ignis Aug 19 '13 at 9:10
Sorry about the late reply, been busy with school, i have 4 classes this semester. It crashes with out me even doing anything. It keeps throwing out this error from the very start "(20:24:27) [0x7f9488004500] [rb_audioscrobbler_should_handshake] rb-audioscrobbler.c:840: No username set" –  Zedd Almighty Aug 25 '13 at 0:25
Banshee works without crashing but it wont transfer files. It acts like it's going to but it never does. –  Zedd Almighty Aug 25 '13 at 0:56
Ok, first of all, you should include the information in the question (just click the edit button), not in comments. Second, that seems a bug, and bugs are handled by launchpad. Look if your bug has been reported, otherwise report it yourself. –  Braiam Sep 3 '13 at 0:29

You could try using SM player for playing music. There is also Amarok application for playing music.Install it and try if it suits you.
