I'm using Ubuntu 13.04 x64 on notebook with nVidia Quadro FX770M and driver nvidia-310.

I have the notebook docked to docking station and I'm using two displays, main on HDMI and addtional on VGA. Unfortunately, driver assumes that main screen is on VGA, which is not a problem until I'm using desktop (duplicate launcher menu), but there is huge problem when I'm trying to play some FullScreen game.

So, when I open nvidia-settings I see:

Default nvidia-settings screen

What I want to see is:

Needed nvidia-settings

When I click to save changes to xorg.conf file it changes nothing (I tried to save that file in my home folder and diff it with original xorg.conf, but there are the same!)

Here is my current xorg.conf, can you help my how I need to change it to make HDMI (BenQ display) my default? I'm worried, why there are no BenQ display Section.

ArandR maybe useful to you as it would let you set some profiles that can be stored and retrieved: christian.amsuess.com/tools/arandr I also use AutoRandR help.ubuntu.com/community/DynamicMultiMonitor –  Kendor Aug 16 '13 at 19:59
