I'm setting up an old laptop with a broken screen as a mythbuntu server. The problem is when I close the lid on it, it blanks the screen, then when I re-open it, it re-enables the laptops display (which doesn't work), causing display problems on the external monitor. I've tried installing xfce4-power-settings and changing the power settings there, but these seem to do nothing. I've also tried setting these directly in dconf, with no effect. I've set a global Xsession.d file to set LVDS to be off, but this doesn't seem to have effect when the screen-open event gets fired off. Any things what to do?
