I'm attempting to set up a local web development server in virtual box.
Ive got my first adapter (eth0) set to host only networking on a fixed IP, because I don't want it to be affected by dhcp, and my laptop is often connected to different external networks.
This means I've got no external internet connection. To resolve this, I've created a second adapter (eth1) and set it to NAT and to use DHCP, in order to give my virtual server a connection to the outside world.
However, my second connection is not allowing me to connect to any external services, it is however, able to get itself an IP address (from my router, presumably).
Ive turned off the firewall on the host so its unlikely to be a firewall issue. Can anybody help me out?
NB: Im running on a windows 7 host, the host can connect to the internet without issue.
