I searched all over the place and the only easy solution to dual boot is to have Windows 8 installed first then Ubuntu.

I already have Ubuntu 12.04 that came pre-installed on my laptop. I want to install Windows 8. I bought a Windows 8 DVD that, at the time of installation, showed errors of not finding Windows 8 files on the disc. Next I searched for the same errors and I found that I would have to make a Windows 8 USB bootable, but I can't find a way to make a Windows 8 bootable USB from UBUNTU 12.04.

  • Firstly what software would turn my DVD win 8 files to ISO?
  • Secondly after it has I have created an ISO how can I make the Windows 8 USB bootable?

If the Win8 DVD seems to be broken, why don't you try to replace it in the place where you bought it? –  LiquidPL Aug 15 '13 at 14:01
