I downloaded many portable app images from http://portablelinuxapps.org and works fine in Ubuntu 10.04. When I run it on Ubuntu 12.10 I get
error while loading shared libraries: libxcb-randr.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I think the problem due to load error in $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
In some app images, after extracting app image, the following code fixes the problem but it break portability by adding data to system library (also pollution) and need root privilege.
echo -e '\n/home/ubuntu/pgm/usr/lib' | sudo tee -a /etc/ld.so.conf.d/pgm.conf sudo ldconfig
How can I fix this without using ROOT (and system files).
