In Kubuntu 12.04 I added a line to /etc/kde4/kdm/Xsetup to start X11vnc server automatically and this works great. However, I am helping a friend who installed Kubuntu 12.10. I discovered that there is no kdm and no /etc/kde4/kdm/Xsetup in 12.10.

Where would I add my script to run vnc server when X starts up (before a user logs in)?

I see /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf and in there I see:

[SeatDefaults]
allow-guest=false
autologin-guest=false
autologin-user=fiteyes
greeter-session=lightdm-kde-greeter
user-session=kde-plasma

[VNCServer]
enabled=false

[XDMCPServer]
enabled=false

However, which vncserver returns nothing, so I'm not sure if there is a pre-installed vnc server or not. I can install x11vnc if needed. But where would I put the script to start it automatically? Thanks.
