I'm currently dual booting Ubuntu 12.04 and windows 7. Everything is working great except for one detail. One of my hard drives is not recognized at all. I've tried every method I could find online to try to mount it, nothing works. I can see it in gparted and
sudo fdisk -l but I cannot access it at all. I use this hard drive mainly for games, it's not the one Windows is installed on.
Here is a screenshot of the info gparted gives me.
Also, here's what I got when I used the fdisk command.
Disk /dev/sdc: 320.1 GB, 320072933376 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 38913 cylinders, total 625142448 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk identifier: 0x4d544f4f
This doesn't look like a partition table Probably you selected the wrong device.
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sdc1 ? 218137203 2138359164 960110981 7 HPFS/NTFS/exFAT /dev/sdc2 ? 544370800 2464669663 960149432 74 Unknown /dev/sdc3 ? 225600882 769746299 272072709 82 Linux swap / Solaris /dev/sdc4 ? 2760638474 2760690110 25818+ 61 SpeedStor
Partition table entries are not in disk order
I'm still new to Ubuntu so maybe I'm missing the obvious. Also, dunno if it's relevant but this is a wubi install.
