I bought a hard drive months ago and installed Windows 8 the consumer preview on it along side ubuntu, it was running well until I decided to let my laptop on all night to download some games, I found the os lagging then shut the computer down from the button, and when I started it, it was lagging whenever the hard drive was being used and its activity goes immediately to 100% whenever I open a new application, I thought that problem would be gone soon enough, windows was unusable so I decided to use Ubuntu only (it was unusually slow too), I tried to uninstall windows, formatting the whole hard drive and installing Ubuntu only, checking the drive for errors in gparted, using hdd regenerator (it showed 2 delays and no bad sectors)and I couldn't find any utility from toshiba to check it, but nothing worked.

I used Gsmart control to get this information:
