Not sure what is going on. I just bought an Ideapad y500 with dual nvidia gt750. It had a 1tb hdd and i installed a 120 gb ssd. After trying to install ubuntu with windows 8 I abandoned the idea, bought a Windows 7 product key and changed the "bios" setting from uefi to legacy support. Then I had success installing windows 7 at the ssd and installing ubuntu on the hdd. I just clicked install ubuntu with windows 7 and everything was ok. But now when I use ubuntu it is sluggish. Hardware is not the problem. I have 16 gb ram here. Could it be because of the "bios" settings? Is it safe to install ubuntu in legacy mode?
