I recently installed Ubuntu server to use otrs. After my installation of Ubuntu and otrs I would use a desktop to have an easy use for other technicians without a great knowledge about *nix. I also want to use rep of windows 7 to connect to the server. I installed xrdp but if I connect to the server I get only a terminal session. So how do I provide my idea?

I'd suggest FreeNX instead of Windows' remote desktop, the performance is decent and it's using SSH, so it's supposed to be safe. As for the graphical layer, you might try installing GUI with apt-get install ubuntu-desktop but the memory and CPU footprint of the OS will be definitely larger when running with a Desktop Environment. –  moon.musick Jul 31 '13 at 22:55
