my problem is different than other posts that are created.
I have successfully installed ubuntu on my machine first time using windows disk management. Shrinking my primary partition by 65 gbs. However i uninstalled it via windows disk management. When i tried to install ubuntu again in same way i couldnt find grub in my boot list in the screen that pops up when i press f12. Tried using boot repair with try ubuntu on my usb stick. All the OS ES in my system was screwed up(tried advanced mode with purge grub and re install when secure bolt was enabled) and none of the os es was bootable both ubuntu and windows 8. I barely recovered my lenovo y500 with one key recovery button to factory settings. Now in my boot manager i have 2 options which are both windows boot managers: one boots windows 8 successfully and other doesnt do anything with error that i need to put a legit recovery device in.
My problem is that i want both ubuntu and win8 on my device and need to clear that extra useless windows boot manager option from my BIOS manager. How can i do that? My lenovo is the one with 2 x GT650M graphic cards i7 3rd gen and 8gbs of ram with 1920 x 1080 screen resolution. I can provide extra onformation if needed. Thanks..
