I've recently installed Ubuntu and am having trouble accessing the internet. I can connect to my gateway but cannot ping google.com or 8.8.8.8. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if there are any diagnostic commands I should execute and I'll paste the output back here.

Here is the output of cat /etc/resolv.conf:

# Dynamic resolv.conf(5) file for glibc resolver(3) generated by resolvconf(8)
# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE BY HAND -- YOUR CHANGES WILL BE OVERWRITTEN
nameserver 192.168.1.1
search localdomain

I can't seem to ping that address.

Other outputs:

sudo lshw -class network
