I'm now trying to build a MAAS private cloud using Ubuntu server 12.04 LTS.

Now I have one maas main server and 5 nodes which are in ready state. My MAAS main server ip is 192.168.43.149 and I configured dhcp in the range of 192.168.43.100 to 220.

The 192.168. network is from Portable WLAN hotspot of my Handphone internet network.

All the nodes can get ip between this range.

I also installed dns using command.

Do I need additional config for dns?

I install pxe files using "maas-import-pxe-files" on another network 172.68.... as I use DELL laptop.

  • The MAAS server is built on VMWare Workstation 6.5.
  • Network adapter is bridge. it can install well.

What I would like to know is if I use different networks can affect MAAS??

I'm confused by your question. Maybe if you make a diagram of how it is connected we could understand? As it is, I think people haven't answered because they don't understand the question. –  Azendale Nov 18 '13 at 2:09
