I have the problem that udisks unmount gets a timeout.
I copy a large file, like 300 mb, to my 8 GB usb pen drive. It doesn't matter if I do it with dolphin or cp. I wait for dolphin/cp to finish the copy. Next I do either
udisks --unmount /dev/sdb1
or use the graphical counterpart of KDE4. But unfortunately I get:
Unmount failed: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
If I copy only a small file or wait some time (order minutes) the unmount works.
I don't see anything fishy in
dbus-monitor --system "interface='org.freedesktop.UDisks'"
comparing small file vs. large file copying.
The usb drive continues to copy. If I wait for the LED to stop flashing the file is copied correctly (checked with md5sum). If I unplug the drive after udisks error message, the file is corrupted.
How can I increase the timeout?
Thanks in advance,
