Here's my situation:
I run Compiz Desktop Cube, with Skydome enabled, on Kubuntu 10.10. I would like to 'disable' or make the KDE wallpaper completely transparent, making the Skydome my 'wallpaper replacement'.
Is there any way to do this?

I'm not sure if it will work 100% perfectly, but you could use the Opacity, Brightness and Saturation Plugin to achieve something similar.
All you need to do is to add the desktop as a window to opacify and set it to 0%. (This answer supposes you have knowledge of configuring compiz plugins). To show desktop icons, you will need to have the folder view plasmoid enabled. |
