Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I use Ubuntu 12.04. It was installed two days ago, but after the suggested system upgrade, Unity showed some issues. I tried to reset/reinstall it, following many posts in the forum and lots of errors were introduced, please check the following pastie: http://pastie.org/8171113 for details.

Before I upgraded, I installed VGA proprietary firmware driver: - ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver

Now, as a result, I have many shortcuts disabled(like Super(press) and Show-all-active-windows shortcut). For me, this is serious user experience bottleneck. Also, the Super(tap) and ATL + TAB view of the active windows shows icons without effects, just like simple Gnome. I have two monitors of different size(if this matters at all).

Can anyone help?

At least the errors from the unity reset should be resolvable. It this some inconsistency of opengl libs?
