Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I deleted all old kernels 3.5 and 3.2 from my Ubuntu because I'm currently using 3.9.

And after reboot and login I didn't find WiFi icon.

And when I click on Network form settings I receive this message:

" The system network services are not compatible with this version. "

I used these commands and nothing happend:

gksu service network-manager start
sudo service network-manager start

Welcome to Ask Ubuntu! The current kernel version supported by Canonical is 3.8.0-26. Please revert back to it and see if problem persists. –  Danatela Jul 24 '13 at 7:27
