Shutting down the computer using Terminal ('sudo halt') requires my password.
But while Shutting it down it using GUI, I do not need to enter my password.

  1. Does the GUI store my computer password?
    • If not, then how can it execute a command without administrator privileges?
  2. Or is there any command with which I can turn my computer off using Terminal without entering my password?
