I am using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I get this message while trying to add a PPA:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-hams-updates/ppa
[sudo] password for user:

  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/random.py", line 274, in choice
    return seq[int(self.random() * len(seq))] # raises IndexError if seq is empty
ValueError: cannot convert float NaN to integer

The same message appeared earlier when I wanted to get the update for Kazam Screencaster.

What am I doing wrong?

Please edit your question to include more details. What commands have you run? What PPA are you trying to install? –  edwin Jul 22 '13 at 1:39

Did you install any other PPAs using this method? Try to add this repository from GUI. And I think there is some problem in your temporary directory. –  Danatela Jul 22 '13 at 2:13
