I installed Xubuntu 13.04 (Voyager distro), everything was running sweetly, but after running the recommended updates (132 of them) my wireless card was no longer recognized (went through this trouble-shooting list), got *-network UNCLAIMED out of lshw, plugged in my land-line to attempt to update firmware, but got no connection via land-line either. Reinstalled 13.04, my wireless card is once again recognized. I've looked through the list of updates and nothing is jumping out at me as the culprit. My questions are: has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know what causes the wireless card to become unrecognizable after running updates?
I'm running the Xubuntu 13.04 derivative, Voyager, on a Dell Latitude E5410 with a DW1520 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card. configuration: driver=bcma-pci-bridge
