i am trying to run arm image on PC through SD-card with chroot environment

i had installed make utility and build_essential by

sudo apt-get install build_essential

sudo apt-get install make

but on after successfully change the root and install dependencies then after run a command

make clean

its giving

root@ayush:/linux-3.2# make clean
make: /bin/sh: Command not found
make: /bin/sh: Command not found
Makefile:567: /linux-3.2/arch//Makefile: No such file or directory
make: /bin/sh: Command not found
make: /bin/sh: Command not found

make: /bin/sh: Command not found
make: /bin/sh: Command not found
make: /bin/sh: Command not found
make: /bin/sh: Command not found
make: execvp: /linux-3.2/scripts/gcc-goto.sh: Permission denied
make: /bin/sh: Command not found
make: *** No rule to make target `/linux-3.2/arch//Makefile'.  Stop.

Please give me any tricks to work it out with this.......
